Ingredients:

1 cup grated coconut

  • 1 cup refined flour
  • ½ cup suji/semolina
  • ¼ cup rice powder
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp jaggery
  • 2 tbsp Doctors’ Choice Refined Rice Bran oil
  • 2 tbsp green cardamom
  • ½ cup khoya kheer
  • Water as required

Method:

In a bowl combine the grated coconut, jaggery and sugar to create a sweetened mixture.

Heat a kadai and saute the mixture on a low flame.

Gently pour milk and green cardamom into the kadai. Stir the mixture till it turns sticky.

Add khoya kheer and keep it aside to cool down.

Meanwhile in a bowl combine the rice flour, maida and semolina with a pinch of salt and water.

Do this cautiously to ensure that there are no remaining lumps.

Heat a non-stick pan, sprinkle some Doctors’ Choice Rice Bran oil and spread the flour mix on the pan in a circular motion to make a full circle. Allow the mix to fry for about a minute.

Promptly place the freshly prepared filling in the centre of the circle and roll it up.

Keep frying both sides till it turns into a golden brown colour.

Serve as an evening snack with hot tea.
