Bharwa Mirchein Recipe Using Mustard Oil

Besan bhari mirchi, popularly known as bharwa mirchi is a Rajasthani dish that includes large chillies and a special chickpea flour mixture. Known to have a crispy, flavorful texture, this unique dish spicy yet filled with delicious flavors. 

Since this dish is prepared with large chillies, many are under the impression that this may be difficult for everyone to savor. However, with the help of its secondary ingredients and the right healthy edible cooking oil this Rajashtani dish can be everyone’s favorite recipe list. Here’s how you can bring these flavors alive within the comfort of your home.

Ingredients

For the Stuffing

  • 250 gm big green chillies
  • 3 / 4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1 / 2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 / 2 roasted cumin powder
  • 1 tsp roasted coriander powder
  • 1 / 2 tsp amchur 
  • 4-5 tbsp roasted coconut
  • 1 tbsp Doctors’ Choice Kachi Ghani Mustard Oil

For Frying

Procedure

  • Wash all the green chillies well and pat them dry once done. Make a thin slit in between to ensure all the seeds are discarded
  • Add in the ginger-garlic green chilli paste and fry it all on a low flame. Add in the stuffed chillies as well and let them all cook for roughly 5-6 mins on one side. Once done, turn them over and let it cook for 3-4 mins
  • Once they are crispy and have a light brownish texture, remove them and let them cool. Enjoy these flavorful and unique chillies with rice and dal to bring the flavors of Rajasthan to your table
