How To Cook
Ingredients :
- 1 medium-sized cauliflower
- ½ tsp cumin seeds
- 2 chopped onions
- ½ tsp ginger paste
- ½ tsp garlic paste
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1½ tsp chilli powder
- 2 chopped tomatoes
- 1 tsp salt
- ¼ cup coriander leaves – chopped
- ¼ tsp garam masala
- 2 tbsp Doctors Choice Refined Sunflower oil
Method :
- Cut the cauliflower into bite-sized florets and rinse it under clean running water. Then soak it in saltwater for about 10 minutes and drain all the water out thoroughly.
- Pour the oil into a large pan or wok and heat it on high flame for a minute. Add the cumin seeds and let them splutter in the oil.
- Reduce the flame to medium and toss in the chopped onions and saute till it turns golden brownish.
- Add the ginger and garlic paste and mix all the ingredients, frying them till the raw smell subsides.
- Put in the tomatoes, chilli powder and turmeric powder and fry till the oil separates from the ingredients.
- Add in the cauliflower along with salt and mix them all together. The cauliflower florets should have a coating of spices and oil all around.
- Cook the sabzi till the cauliflower is fully cooked. This might take about 15 to 20 minutes.
- Once cooked, sprinkle the chopped coriander leaves and garam masala. Give the sabzi a good mix and serve with freshly cooked warm rice.
